It begins!
Just sat down and wrote the first thousand words on my
stargate_summer novel. Admittedly, they're snippets of scenes from all over the first part, but now I get to connect the dots between the existing scenes. *dances*
This thing is basically going to be divided into three parts, with each part starting (and maybe ending) with a newspaper article/journal entry/etc. I've plotted out part one already, and focusing on that for right now. Then I think I'll write part three, and go back to part two afterward so I can lay out any foreshadowing I need to include.
My goal is to write 2,000 words per day, which means I'll finish in less than a month if I write every day and only write 50,000 words, and gives me plenty of time a) if I miss days, b) to plot out parts two and three before I write them, and c) if it winds up being longer (which I'm betting it will), while still allowing me to finish by May and work on other things (drabbles I owe,
fandom_grammar, etc.).
Yay, productivity!
