And apropos of our last conversation, I KNEW I wasn't going crazy. Just senile. There's Thirteen on House (annoyingly bisexual and in a relationship with a man, but she has been in homosexual relationships during the course of the show). Also, there's Oscar on The Office. Poor Oscar. Poor, poor Oscar. The victim of *so* much stupidity. "You don't know about prison?! You would really, really like prison." *facepalm*
Anyway, both of them are just people, living their lives, nothing to make them "different" from everybody else outside of their love lives. Their sexuality plays into the plot - it's another way for House to be a jerk, and of course, poor, poor Oscar - but it is just a component of their characters without being the defining part or the sole focus of their story lines or whatever.
