Question for the Tech-Inclined

Is there some system (a client, maybe?) that would enable me to simultaneously post to LJ and DW? I know they have an import thing (which seems to dislike me) but once I'm caught up I'd love some way to post to both places at the same time, rather than having to do a post in each place. Thoughts?

(I still need a "Mel Hates Technology" icon...)

I believe that by 4/30 DW will have one-touch cross-posting built in--that's one of the many features that has made it so attractive! If you want to start now, I think some people are trying Semagic? But I know nothing about it, nor their results.

My understanding is that there will be a really simple one button cross-post thingy available by the time DW enters open beta. Some folks are managing to crosspost now, but I don't know what they're doing - at least, I may have read how they're doing it, but that would've gone *ZIP* right over my head, lol.

after April 30 Dreamwidth itself will make crossposting very easy from your journal there. You will be able to post and select additional places it should go to quite easily. That's what I'm waiting for. I'm not going to worry about crossposting until after April 30.

In the meantime you could investigate Semagic. It's a crossposting tool.

People at Dreamwidth have been posting guides for how to do that. But I haven't kept track of them. Check out the newbie guide community on Dreamwidth.
