argh, so close
I have one scene--ONE SCENE--of the
stargate_summer left to write, and it is kicking my ass.
It's a heavy exposition scene, so it's boring both to write and read. I've come up with a way to make it a little comic, I think, but I'm not sure I can actually pull it off. It means writing Atlantis characters, which I've never done much of, and writing technobabble, which I always avoid if possible.
Right now I need to just get something on the page. I can fix it later.
On the other hand,
allandaros helped me take the space battle climax* from blah to rather awesome, IMNSHO. And, also, it's done, so that's good.
Packing for Atlanta tomorrow; last Dragon*Con staff meeting before con in September. I feel horribly unprepared, but hopefully I'm just being a spaz.
*This is not spoilery. It's like the end of Hamlet: you know where it's going, it's just a matter of getting there. Not that this is anything like Hamlet. Well, minus the PEW PEW. :P

Then they fight some Stargate personnel, and in the chaos, the Stargate personnel beam over to the Lucian Alliance ha'tak and transport the ha'tak command crew onto their own doomed ship...after Daniel Jackson has already been hit by the ha'tak. Meanwhile, Vala unknowingly takes a sip from a chalice that's been infected by the Wraith. The Luclan Alliance fleet is destroyed, but before they explode, the commander reveals that they were manipulated by Apophis from the beginning. Enraged, the Stargate personnel attack Apophis with the poison-tipped ha'tak...
Finally they all end up dead, Fox Mulder uncovers the Stargate, and the FBI takes over the program.
It's really trippy.
