And you, False Love, will weep for me when I'm gone.
Well, in the end the boss saved herself from a painful death by trading off the shifts for me...without telling me, of course, so I still went into work yesterday (Thurs) before therapy, thus wasting an hour. But, I got onion soup for lunch, so not a lost cause.
Re: therapy, I think I've come up with a nice shiny answer to what happened. Well, not shiny, but enough of one that I might have some forward momentum in the direction of going back to school. A good thing, I would think.
On the other hand, though, my mother is destroying any progress I make. So not cool.
Oh, and the Once and Future Road Trip (NYC for a Stargate convention (geek!) and then up to Boston to see
kashmir_ki_kali and
despiojarse12 and then back again) is up and running. I talked to Da about it, and he's gung ho as long as I do all the planning and sort it all out. I mean, will be a really hard sell with Mummy Dearest, but it's a step in the right direction. I spent half the day today poking at Greyhound schedules and the convention website, doing some math. Will probably be talking about it a lot here; feel free to tease me or make suggestions.
Dun forget to answer the poll. I'll be posting my "answers" Wednesday next, to give you all a week. And please, no more questions about the meaning of life. You people are too predictable.
And, because I haven't done this in a while, the yay fun music lyric meme (oddly, the player decided to reflect my mood tonight, go figure):
Step 1: Put your music player on random.
Step 2: Pick your favorite line from the first 20 songs that play (skip anything that doesn’t have lyrics, or would be too obvious).
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song the lines come from.
Step 4: Cross songs out when guessed correctly.
(Also, if you need a hint, let me know, and I'll post a more obvious line)

ii. Soulmate, dry your eyes, / 'Cause soulmates never die.
iii. Before you take a swing, I wonder, / What are we fighting for? ~ "How It's Going to Be" - Third Eye Blind
iv. Half of the time we're gone but we don't know where. ~ "The Only Living Boy in New York" - Simon and Garfunkel
v. Dark and dusty, painted on the sky / Misty taste of moonshine / Teardrops in my eye ~ "Take Me Home, Country Roads" - John Denver
vi. Sitting at this desk, like an over-worked whore / Seen so many pricks today, I no longer keep score
vii. I got a new life. / You would hardly recognize me, / I'm so glad.

ix. Do you think I’m wasting / My time doing things I / Wanna do? ~ "Perfect" - Simple Plan
x. For they pour him out of an old brown jug / And they call him home brewed ale. ~ "John Barleycorn" - Steeleye Span
xi. Or would you rather stand and watch them dig your grave / While you wait for the Tartan Messiah?
xii. And you'll begin to wonder why you came ~ "How to Save a Life" - The Fray
xiii. Must you make me laugh so much? / It's bad enough we get along so well.
xiv. I will hold you until the sun comes crashing in / Where would I be now / Without the tenderness that you possess?
xv. If you had prepared twenty years ago / You wouldn't be a-wanderin' from door to door

X. "John Barleycorn" - traditional Celtic, my recording is by Golden Bough
I actually want to know the titles of some of these, they sound cool.

Yes, though the particular recording is Steeleye Span.
You know more of these, kitten, I swear it!
