Well, in the end the boss saved herself from a painful death by trading off the shifts for me...without telling me, of course, so I still went into work yesterday (Thurs) before therapy, thus wasting an hour. But, I got onion soup for lunch, so not a lost cause.

Re: therapy, I think I've come up with a nice shiny answer to what happened. Well, not shiny, but enough of one that I might have some forward momentum in the direction of going back to school. A good thing, I would think.

On the other hand, though, my mother is destroying any progress I make. So not cool.

Oh, and the Once and Future Road Trip (NYC for a Stargate convention (geek!) and then up to Boston to see [livejournal.com profile] kashmir_ki_kali and [livejournal.com profile] despiojarse12 and then back again) is up and running. I talked to Da about it, and he's gung ho as long as I do all the planning and sort it all out. I mean, will be a really hard sell with Mummy Dearest, but it's a step in the right direction. I spent half the day today poking at Greyhound schedules and the convention website, doing some math. Will probably be talking about it a lot here; feel free to tease me or make suggestions.

Dun forget to answer the poll. I'll be posting my "answers" Wednesday next, to give you all a week. And please, no more questions about the meaning of life. You people are too predictable.

And, because I haven't done this in a while, the yay fun music lyric meme (oddly, the player decided to reflect my mood tonight, go figure):

Step 1: Put your music player on random.
Step 2: Pick your favorite line from the first 20 songs that play (skip anything that doesn’t have lyrics, or would be too obvious).
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song the lines come from.
Step 4: Cross songs out when guessed correctly.
(Also, if you need a hint, let me know, and I'll post a more obvious line)
