Still haven't decided whether it's a good therapy session when it's spent in tears. It wasn't cathartic, so I guess it's bad. I don't know anymore.

On the other hand, I think I've finally spilled my last secret to the therapist. Yay?

Tomorros I get to fight with ResLife to try to get them to let me live on campus in the spring. I'm expecting a fight.

those cartoons I mentioned yesterday )

Finally left Just Once for good, and good riddance. I love Catherine (one of the characters I created), but not enough to stick around. Life is too short.

Forgot earlier to mention the dream I had last night. Was travelling through the Stargate (but not with SG-1, amusingly enough) and gated to a planet that just seemed to have miles and miles of fields of tulips in all different shades of red, orange, and yellow. So my team and I walk through these things for hours until we reach this big old house. We go inside, and there's an antique auction going on. Then I started to wake up, so it went all wiggly. I think the tulip fields are going to show up in a fic, though.

I just spent the last few hours designing costumes for the Le Palais Halloween costume ball. My best so far is definitely the pair going as Adam and Eve, wearing only skin-toned loincloth-y things and a lot of paint (you'd be surprised how hard it is to find painted male nudes). I really wish I could draw; I'd love to be able to sketch this all out, but I can barely do a stick figure. Ah well, we can't do everything.

It would be easier to take if the things I can do would work. I have two good plots to work with at the moment, plus a bunch of bits I can work with, but none of them want to move at the moment. So, a few writing-themed memes, in the hope of kicking the block.

The tours officially started today, so the campus is full of potential students and their parents. Gave directions so some poor harried father who seemed to be leading a group of kids; he'd somehow managed to come in the back of the student union, and couldn't find registration. So I told him how to get up to the info desk, and that it was probably in the Colony Ballroom, and he looked so thankful I almost laughed.

Killing the possibilities of a Daniel/Jack relationship with a Jack/Sam kiss, while perfect for the specific story, hurts to write. I love Samantha Carter to bits, but I just don't see it ever happening. Speaking of Stargate, need to see those back episodes that Dad's been taping for me. I think that spring break will be spent watching Stargate re-runs. *can't wait*

Spent most of last night (during and after the line note typing; three hours, that, and it was only half the show) designing the superhero/villain pair that [livejournal.com profile] celleri_kun and I are going to start playing on the new board. She's playing the hero, Randall Casey (the Impenetrable Shield), and I'm playing the villain, Chad Branson (the Unbreakable Sword), lovers and arch-nemeses. Will be a hoot, let me tell you.

Oh, and see the shiny! new! mood theme. Is teh awesome, yes?

Wow, I've been out of rehearsals for almost two hours, and I still have no idea what to do with myself. I'm not used to not having rehearsals or being at home in the evenings. So, there shall be consumption of Ramen, rp and writing, and typing up line notes. Yum.

In other news, it must be noted that Casey is my favorite person today. Not only is he poetry in motion, but he forgave me for fucking up his class last semester. It's awesome to be working with him; he's fight choreographer for Crucible (yay, domestic violence), but I'm still not used to seeing him without the Desdemona goatee. And I think he's teaching 112 in the fall again, so that means I'll really get a second chance. I hope so.

Also, something not only biologically necessary, but also fun, shouldn't hurt and shouldn't involve blood being outside the body. Must make appointment with a gynecologist next week; this is getting silly. Though, to be fair, Steve and I are over; what we were doing would never have worked out emotionally, even if we could get it to work physically. I am also boycotting writing sexfic for the next bit; I will not help perpetuate the "good sex" myth.

(Sheldon) *taking notes* Passengers on L-train... three underage females, one elderly male, one adult male heterosexual, one adult male homosexual.
(Hakan) *struts a little, peacock of L-train*
(Sheldon) *watches one guy get off the train* Heterosexual male exits at *checks watch* 7:36 PM.
(Hakan) What!? I'm right here!
(Sheldon) ... I'm aware.
(Hakan) I didn't get off the train. Fix your notes.
(Sheldon) My notes are in order, sir.
(Hakan) No, the gay guy got off the train, not me.

(Hakan) .... *PUNCH*
(Sheldon) ... *falls over* My notes are still in order, sir.

The above was written by [livejournal.com profile] celleri_kun, Sheldon's player, on what would happen to the boys if they met outside of Le Palais.

Being female sucks. I really hate being all but incapacitated one day a month. *grumbles*

But I'm a Cheerleader is hilarious. Makes me very thankful for my folks, I must tell you.

A series of links you all should check out:

Hybrids: the Cars that Swing Both Ways

God, Kansas, and Intelligent Design, the Comic

The Joys of LARP and Role-Play

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want- good or bad. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

Also, to anyone who is in the Maryland area this weekend, Satanic Mechanics is doing a masquerade ball and screening of Space Balls on Saturday, the ball at 6:30p and the movie at midnight. It's all free, the ball in the Colony Ballroom and the film in the Hoff, of course. Everyone should come, but that's obvious.

Met the roommate. She's a cheerleader, but I will not hold it against her. We set up the room, so there's this big space in the middle, which makes it a lot let cramped. We're on the top floor, with a nice view, and between the open window, the two fans, and the high ceiling, it isn't a total furnace. Stopped off afterwards to pick up a carpet and boxes to keep stuff under the bed (one for food, one for clothes, and two crates for books). Seven days until I move in, and I can't wait.

The cross-stitch is nearing completion. I just have all the nasty little lines to do, and I've already started them. It looks pretty good, even if it's got a bunch of mistakes.

Also wrote multiple personality disorder scene the first, which went better than I expected. Now I just need to poke myself into writing more Atlantis, and life will be good.

Tomorrow is devoted to the cardiologist, going to the hair stylist, and making lists. Lots of lists. Oy vey.

I Can Cook, Too

So, I cooked dinner tonight. Cauliflower sauteed in oyster sauce, rice, and cucumbers in rice wine vinegar. Yumminess. Not too complex, though. The rice cooker took care of the rice, obviously, and the cucumbers are a "throw it in a bowl and stir" cold dish. The most labor-intesive thing was breaking up the cauliflower: a 2-pound head of cauliflower, and I had to break it into 1-inch florets. But it was really good when I finished making it.

Writing fight scenes in RP are pretty fun, especially when you're aiming to put the characters in an awkward situation. *grins evilly*

And the Liberty Bell is taking a helluva long time to stitch.

The Holocaust visitors were wonderful, but I spent most of the 1.5 hour period on the verge of tears. My grandmother was in Aushwitz; this hits too damn close to home.

On a much lighter note, my favorite of my RPG characters, Brendan the gay tailor, is dying. But our fabulous head healer has promised to help keep him alive. Ah, well.

The polyphony is done. *happy dance*

I heard there was a secret chord
that David played and it pleased the Lord,
But you don't really care for music do you.
It goes like this the fourth the fifth,
the minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing hallelujah.

SUNY has a school of forestry and environmental science, and they want my arse. How amusing.

Stayed up until three talking to people in Australia, Germany, and Indiana. Ah, the joy of timezones. And the tiger tried to squish the black kitten at about 1:30.

Must get some work done, since I need to clean things tomorrow. Farewell, all.
