Rant: Hair

melayneseahawkOne of the great mysteries for the female psyche is hair. Whatever the natural texture of a woman's hair is, she is never happy with it. If her hair is curly, she straightens it. If it's straight, she curls it. And don't even start about color.
My one wish has always been that my hair would just make up its mind. When I was little, my hair was bone-straight. But during middle school, it gradually turned into the curly, wavy mess that it is today. When I finally became comfortable with letting it have free reign and do whatever, it changes again. I usually air-dry my hair, but today I was running out of time, so I used a blow-dryer. I didn't mess with it at all; I just turned on the contraption and let the hot air do its job. And my hair came out straight. Weirdest thing ever. And I realized that I really like my hair curly. Go figure.
