You're making this worse, not better. (But it's amusing me, so maybe it's better rather than worse?)
I tend to hit it against the bowl and then split it with two hands, but I don't hit it hard enough so the shell breaks but not the membrane coating it on the inside. So then I have to split the membrane with my thumbs, and it can get messy.
As to the other thing...my head is full of archeology, so I can't do any cooking/sex innuendos atm. Sorry.
