Rant: Shopping

So, I went shopping yesterday. First time in a while. Felt good to be mall-crawling, even if it was with the 'rents and bro in tow.

I went kinda sale-crazy, but who wouldn't during the after Christmas, "let's clear the inventories" sales. I got two pairs of shoes (no, I am NOT shoe obsessed) and a brown corduroy skirt (gasp! me in a skirt! ¡es un escandalo!). One of the pairs of shoes is a pair of high-heeled sneakers. Not the ghetto kind with the wacky underslung heels that are evil to walk in; a pair of seriously cool and hilariously funny high-heeled sneakers. They're like black Converse sneakers, in black leather with a solid 3'' heel. Maybe I am a little bit shoe crazy. But only a little bit.

I also got a birthday gift for a friend; a really expensive vanilla mint candle and base for half off (I love sales). And I stocked up on scented soap; like 10 bars for as many dollars. It was kinda funny standing there on the crazy long line with my arms full of yellow and orange and (shudder) pink bars of glycerine soap. And they were mostly for my parents, who will only use citrus scented soaps. Go figure.
