Yesterday was the "Day of Silence," "whose goal is to raise awareness about the silence that gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) people face every day." Basically, it meant that those of us that feel strongly about rights for GLBT persons did not speak all school day. Now, it is interesting how the response to that was so different than to today's "Every 15 Minutes." They acted like the silence was normal. Doesn't that defeat the purpose?
