melayneseahawk: (deadline screwed)
Yeah, so despite what my sporadic posting may indicate, I am neither dead nor in the grips of a nervous breakdown (already done that for the semester, kthx). Have just been busy/easily distracted/not in the mood to post. Let's see if I can get down the interesting stuff.

Exams start in t minus 6 days and counting. Have an exam I know nothing about for ANTH240 (archeology) on Monday, a semi-cumulative exam for CLAS170 (mythology) on Tuesday morning, a performance project for THET112 on Wednesday morning, and a non-cumulative exam for THET113 (theatre history) Thursday afternoon. I also have two papers for THET113: 4-6 pages about the original performance of Oklahoma! and a 5-7 page manifesto for a major movement in theatre history. I have all the sources for the first one, but need to actually read them, though once I have quotes the paper should go quickly, since I can rant about Oklahoma! forever. The other? I don't even have a topic. They're both due, at the latest, on the exam day. Forgive me while I spaz for a sec.

The plan re: papers/exams is to finish the Oklahoma! paper by Friday of this week, spend Friday through Sunday studying for ANTH240 and CLAS170, then spend exam week writing the second paper and studying for THET113. The performance project isn't really something one can prepare for, so I'll just make sure all the paperwork for it is in order and hope for the best.

In other news, my muse seems to have gone AWOL. Oddly, that's not a problem. The last thing I need right now is fic beating on the inside of my head while I try to research/write essays/study. Thank someone up there for small favors.

Plan for tonight is to finish dinner (a rather pathetic fettuccine primavera; dear dining hall: overcook the noodles and they break), run to the incon to get the stuff for my secret study buddy gift bag, shower, and then get as much research done as possible. I'd love to have the first paper done in time to turn it in on Thursday (early, yes, but then it's out of my hands), but I'm not terribly optimistic. I'll probably meme later tonight when I take a break.

So...how are you doing? *sigh*
