Went to the kid's last winter concert. He turned 17 today, which is scary. I remember holding him when they first brought him home from the hospital. Sitting in the middle of my parents' bed (it seemed to big then, but I know now it was only a queen). It was winter, and he was bundled up in the infant snowsuit I had picked out: blue fleece with green trim for my baby brother.

I was four months from being six.

And now he's got to be six inches taller than me and starting to grow a mustache. He's applying to college and spazzing about the girl he wants to ask out.

God, I feel old.
