Tomorrow Dad and I are going to the nearest computer store (that's left...) and asking some questions, but we're probably going to be coming home with a new hard drive for my poor laptop. It seems like portions of it are corrupted, which is why Windows keeps crashing or "shutting down to prevent damage". Bleh.
