More Thinky Thoughts

Trying to get some writing done today. I have at least two scenes that I actually know what I'm writing, plus one I can probably expand. And maybe while I'm typing those I'll have a brainstorm about how, exactly, this act should end, which might help me structure the middle.

( See, I know I need a climax at the end of the act, to pull the audience into the next one...(no real spoilers) )

One way or the other, there has to be some big success at the end of the act that will lead directly into the kicker at the very end (no, you don't get to know that one). Thoughts?

Copulating Bats!

Tossed together a quick essay for fandom_grammar; hooray for being able to fly by the seat of my pants. Ah, the things I do for this comm.

Also did some writing, and I'm hoping to get some more done before I go to bed. I also have a plotting e-mail to send to indywind. I think I have a vague idea for how to end the act. Small progress is still progress, right?

Met up with starkravingsane for dinner, which was fun. Haven't seen her since the winter, I think. As usual, we started out talking about people from high school and wound up talking about politics and the legal system. *sigh* I can't have normal conversations, can I?

This also meant that I was able to give her her Friendship Stimulus thing. I know they're supposed to be handmade, but I just saw this at the store and knew I had to buy it for her:





I thought it would be appropriate for a woman who crosses borders illegally and gets attacked by copulating bats.
