life, or something like it

(spammity spam spam, sorry)
Yeah, so I said I was going to do a life update. So, lessee...
Starting driver's ed on Monday, which should be boring as hell but hopefully worth it. To those of you up-county,, I'll be in Rockville and free as a bird after about 1:30p Mon-Thu this coming week. So this would be a good time to hang out, right? *very strong hint I'm losing my mind here...*
I'm thisclose to finishing my shift supervisor training. My boss gets back from vacation on Monday, and we're going to finish my last little bits of meeting with her (and the class, God help me) so I can be formally certified. And then I get a nametag on my mail cubby! *is way too excited about this*
I started meeting with a medicating psychiatrist last week, and we're going to be meeting again this coming Friday so we can actually start a treatment plan. I'm really, really not happy about the idea of going on meds (again) but it looks to be the only option, at least for the time being. On the plus side, once I'm more internally reliable (Phrase I coined in therapy a few weeks ago. Shut up, every little bit helps sometimes.), I can focus on the college search and getting the hell out of here.
Speaking of family, remember the bets on whether Mum would get mad? It seems like they've decided to completely stop talking to me. It's quarter to 8p on a Saturday night, and I have no idea where they are. It's mildly disconcerting, actually.
And they highlight of last week? It was C the Awesome Roommate's birthday on Thursday, so a few of us took her out to a bar near campus. Of course, when we went out on the dance floor some sketchtastic guy plastered himself to my ass, and I looked to C to rescue me (since she was the one whose eyes I caught first).
Her solution? To pretend to make out with me and pull me into the group and away from Sketchy.
It was hilarious. Everyone on the floor around us stopped short, and the group we were with started cheering. And the kicker? We were completely faking the kiss, and not even A and C's best friend, who were standing on either side of us, could tell. Note to self: just work your jaw when you're pretending to kiss someone, and it makes it look like there's a hell of a lot more going on there.
