When that happened with my lap last year, it turned out the video card was busted. That might not be the case, but in case it is, if it's still acting funky when you get it back, I would recommend investing in an external hard drive, if you don't already have one. Try starting it again. Before it starts loading windows (so when the boot animation starts up), try pressing F2 and going into safe mode. Back up your documents, etc. on the hard drive (just drag and drop), then play around with the lap in safe mode. I hope the video card or something equally important isn't messed up. When mine was, I had to send in my comp to Sony and get a new motherboard - they also tossed in a new hard drive and keyboard, for reasons of which I am not entirely sure. Which is why I was *really* glad to have all my docs on another hard drive. G'luck, darlin'.
