We all know bad things tend to happen when I'm bored (Steve the asshole and Joe being prime examples). That being said, I naturally assumed my amenorrhea was a result of yet another health-related problem. (And really, it's not a good sign that my life is such that I've got a host of health problems to run through.)

This was not the case. I never thought I'd actually wish it were something as uncomplicated as a hormonal imbalance.

It was almost two full months since my last period, so I called up the Health Center's advice nurse, who told me to get a pregnancy text. And even though I was like "No fucking way...literally," I went to the incon when they opened and picked one up.

I think you can see where this is going.

Yes. I'm pregnant.

Really, I can't see how this happened. We weren't using protection, but we're both clean and I didn't think we needed it. Obviously, I was wrong.

Haven't told Mum and Da yet. They're going to kill me, I know it. I remember what they said about my pregnant coworkers (there were two, one about my age and the other almost two years younger), and it wasn't pretty. C's volunteered to take me in if they kick me out, but I'm hoping it won't come to that.

And yes, I'm going to keep it. This isn't the way I saw my life going, but something about it feels right.

Going home to see the 'rents for Passover tomorrow and Tuesday, but I don't think I'm going to tell them yet. The last thing I want is to make a fight. I'm going to the Health Center tomorrow or Tuesday to make sure, but the tests are pretty accurate these days.

I've already alerted the father. [livejournal.com profile] starkravingsane doesn't seem too thrilled about me keeping it, but has promised to take an active role if that's really what I want. I guess there's still time to think about it, but I'm pretty sure I've already decided.

Think of it this way, hon, you'll be getting something a little different for your birthday this year.

Certainly bigger than just hormonal problems to be sure!

If it does turn out you're pregnant (which as you said, is quite likely the probable outcome) then I believe I should wish you lots of laughter and smiles and luck.

*hugs*

LOL. You got me there.

Yeah... I was kinda confused there.

Heh, sorry. [livejournal.com profile] starkravingsane made me do it. The goal here was really to mess with our friends.

The sentiment of your comment was sweet, though.

XD. noticing the whole "unexpectedness" that was there, I wasn't sure that congratulations were in order. Instead, I'd rather wish you things you'd need.

And your April fools was the first one I fell for today. ... Which will officially end here in around 20 minutes.

and that bunny? cute.

Sweet!

I don't usually do these, so it's awesome that I tricked people, including a long-time RL friend (see below).

Wow, that was rough. I thought this was a joke but then was afraid to say as much -- because if it was true, that would have been really callous of me.

And I will beat you over the head if you don't use protection. I swear it upon my mother's grave!

Sweetheart, you are so easy! *big hugs*

(And I haven't gone near a guy in a year, don't worry.)

Ya know, your emocon really shoulda alerted me. It's too damn happy. Ah well, I'll blame my gullibility on the fact that mucus is pushing my brains out my ears.

Your mood is surprised. And for my layout, that makes it a smiling cat. Since I don't have a subscription, I work with what I've got.

I sat on my hands for a whole three hours because I was . . . fairly sure it was a joke. But not absolutely sure.

Hee. No real pregnancies were involved in the making of this post. :)

Jeez louise.

I totally fell for every freakin' April Fools joke I read this year. *glowers*

Here's where I should have realized. "We weren't using protection, but we're both clean and I didn't think we needed it. Obviously, I was wrong."

I was like, WTF? Well, I guess she's leared her lesson now! :D

Heh, ouch.

I'm not sure whether to be amused that I tricked people (including one RL friend!) or bad for doing the same. I don't usually do an April Fools thing, so this was entertaining, to say the least.

Um . . . I was sitting here thinking, "She's pregnant?!?! Uh, how?" I was considering asking you if you'd been abducted by aliens.

btw- mean joke. My brain was all hurty for a few minutes. You should provide fic to compensate. ;)

Yes, exactly. How did you know? :P

(Sigh) You mean you're not preggers with my lady-baby? Way to build up my hopes just to knock them down. :'(
