melayneseahawk: (deadline screwed)

Banquet on Friday Thursday was a waste of time and money. It was supposed to start at 7:30, but no one really showed up until almost 8:30, and they hadn't started the actual speech part by the time I gave up and left at 9:30. The only amusing bit was my thoughts as I left: "I Naired my legs for this?"

I've finished the bibliography, but I've gotten nothing else done. Why am I so terrible at motivating myself to work? I'm now almost two days behind on my schedule; I'm not sure I'll be able to catch up even if I don't sleep the rest of the weekend. *headdesk* I suck at this whole school thing.

TV Keyword Meme
-Go to IMDB.com and look up 10 of your favorite TV shows you watch.
-Post three official IMDB "Plot Keywords" for these 10 picks.
-Have your friends guess the show names.

To help you out, one is a cartoon, and of the nine remaining one is not sci-fi. Three are spin-offs, two have spin-offs, one is loosely-based on a movie, two have movie(s) based on them. Six are currently running new episodes or will later this year, but one of those has been canceled and is running its last episodes. All but three are currently airing at least re-runs, and one of those three recently finished a run of its single season.

Because I watched the first five episodes and not once in there was there a single compelling character or believable plot. Because the show had the unshakable belief that enough technological gimmicks could drown out those fundamental flaws. Because they were trying so hard and yet could never summon anywhere near the X-Files' level of paranoia about the hidden secrets. Because Jack Carter was too stupid, his daughter too rebellious, and every character was too something. Because I've never been shy to admit a love for bad science fiction and yet I was embarrassed to admit that I was watching Eureka. Because Who Wants To Be a Superhero made Eureka look dumb. Because Enterprise made Eureka look dumb.
