Only I could manage to burn my hand taking my dinner (fish fillets and waffle-cut french fries) out of the oven. I didn't burn myself too badly, but I've got red spots on the knuckles of the first two fingers on my right hand and they're a little sore. Think I might have to invest in some bandaids to pad them out before work today.

theemdash, totally forgot to put up your presents last night. *facepalm* Should be able to get them up tonight after work.

In other "Melayne's an idiot" news, I managed to leave my cell phone at home today, so I'm basically out of communication with everyone for the day. It's weird; I've had a cell phone on my person for years, I feel almost naked without it.

Oh, and joy of joys: the writers' block has landed. I'm trying to write through it, but I'm not having much luck. *whimpers*

my brother once blamed me for getting burned for not telling him to wear an oven mitt when he took something out of the oven, as if IT WASN'T OBVIOUS THAT METAL IN A HOT OVEN WOULD BE HOT.

Ok, he's worse than me. I was flipping the fish, which meant I was using a utensil that's hard to use with a glove on, so I had my gloved left hand steadying the tray and my right bare hand flipping them. But I didn't pull the tray out far enough (the oven area is a fire hazard because of my mother's stupid packrat habits, so we try to keep from pulling the oven rack all the way) and brushed my knuckles against the top of the inside of the oven.
