First, posted a drabble series over at [livejournal.com profile] 4am_slash. All necessary summaries, ratings, and disclaimers are over there. Go read if you swing that way.

Second, the text of a REAL E-MAIL send by the UMD Jewish Student Union:

...The Jewish Student Union is having a Freshmen Speeddating Event on Wednesday September 7th from 8-10 PM in the basement of Denton Hall.

What is speeddating, you might be asking?

Basically, you get to go on more dates in two hours than you probably went on throughout all of high school!

Aside from meeting that "special someone", you will also have the opportunity to meet other awesome Jewish freshmen!...

Heavens! I thought that the "meet nice Jewish boys, marry one, have nice Jewish babies" thing would end after I left my shul, but it's not! I feel even better about having gone to the Alliance meeting. *grin*

I Have a Job!

*dances* I'm a shift worker at CSPAC, so I'll be doing things like stagehanding, selling tickets, moving pianos, etc. It's $7 an hour to start, and they'll keep me as long as I'm a student if this first semester works out. I am a happy child.

Not much else to say, really. Class was boring but that's to be expected. A guy in THET112 with me complimented me about the arguments I presented in class, and he was blushing like crazy, so that was amusing. Also got another section of "Pedestal" written; I might be able to finish it sometime soon. I hope.
