*crawls out from under the stage*
Monday, 6 March 2006 21:31No, I have neither died nor fallen off the edge of the world. Eaten by opening weekend, yes; too tired to post, absolutely. A short recap:
Opening weekend went well. We had three (3) accidents and two (2) injuries on preview night, one involving much blood, which I had too clean up, of course. And at the Saturday evening performance (we had two that day), a prop fell of the edge of the stage and we had some ten minutes of scrambling to cover it. The joy of my job these days is that it only gets interesting when something goes wrong.
For those in town and interested in seeing the show (which is worth it, I promise), this week's schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, March 07, 2006 thru Thursday, March 09, 2006 @ 7:30p
Friday, March 10, 2006 @ 8:00p
Saturday, March 11, 2006 @ 8:00p
Tickets are $8 for UMD students and $21 for everyone else (in theory, it's $7 and $20, but there's a service charge). I can't hook anyone else up with cheaper tickets, sadly, but it's worth it. If you do wind up coming, let me know, and I can give you a tour backstage afterwards.
Academics and such are too complicated for this post (and will probably be f-locked *gasp*). Let it just be said that I'm unofficially no longer a performance/production double major, instead focusing slightly on production. And Dad's making me take a few non-theatre electives. Ah, English. I thought I'd seen the last of you.
Totally unrelated, but my muse is one weird bitch. Palais Rouge? Oh dear oh dear.
Equally unrelated, D.P. Dough makes a damn good calzone.
