Just not in a talkative mood.

Have work today (2:45 to closing, come visit!) then off tomorrow and Friday. Then working Saturday again, then Sunday I'm going to be at a family barbeque thing to see some relatives. More exciting than it looks, I assure you.

Need to write, but not really managing it. For those who care, sign-ups for [livejournal.com profile] jd_ficathon close on Sunday, and then I have a few days to match people up. I might start on Friday. I have this brilliant idea to make up index cards and lay everything out on the floor, but that's because I'm a) crazy and b) a technophobe in the weirdest ways. I know there's probably an easier way to do this on the computer (and I have no idea how the [livejournal.com profile] remixredux08 crew have been doing it all these years, but I've got less than 30 people, so I'm sure I can handle it.

As to mental health, I really don't want to talk about it.

That's essentially how I did it. One card for what people want. One card for what they will write.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Then I think I'll assign each person a number and use a random number generator to pair them up, then twiddle it until everyone has what they want.

Random number generator would have been a wasted step for mine, because I had so many issues. Random assignment was just not an option, even with tweaking. But since we're all writing the same pairing, you may have a slightly less problematic situation.

By "random number generator" you mean this, right?

Alas, there will be more than 20 people, so it won't be of much use.

Fine, fine. 2d10 (aka 1d100) should be enough, neh? :D
