Wordle Meme!
Thursday, 26 June 2008 22:55This is way too much fun.
Behind the cut arethree four Wordle images created from stories I'm currently working on (for assorted values of "working on", natch). Here's how this is going to roll:
1. Pick one (or more) and take a guess at what might be going on. (Or just make something up.) Write at least a one-sentence summary of what you imagine the story to be about.
2. I'll take those summaries -- one from each of the first five commenters, more if inspiration strikes -- and write snippets, which will hopefully bear no resemblance whatsoever to the actual story I'm working on. If your summary nails the actual story, I'll post a snippet of the actual WIP instead.
3. Rinse and repeat repost in your own journal for additional wholesome family fun! (Uh, if you want. No pressure.)
Hint: two are Stargate fandom, two are original stories. Have fun!

4. Or you can make your own comment ficlet out of some or all of the words Wordle picked.
5. And if you wind up with a bunny you like, you're more than welcome to run off with it, and very welcome to commentfic it here.

His skin splits like butter under a hot knife, and when he bleeds it looks like the universe itself is bleeding, the starry darkness of a night sky split by dripping crimson lines.
It’s morbidly gratifying to know that even after everything—even with what he’s become—at least his blood is still red.

27/6/08 17:59 (UTC)Jack is a prince, naturally, and Apophis is either the footman or the carriage driver.
And as we all know, Daniel has a habit of forgetting his shoes...

“You’re beautiful, my darlings,” Apophis said, kissing his daughters’ cheeks. “Remember what I told you?”
“You don’t have to like him, he just has to like you,” they said in unison, singsong.
“Good girls,” Apophis said with an indulgent smile. “Go wait in the carriage, dears.” His smile evaporated as the girls went through the door. “Don’t burn down the house, boy.”

(but it's more fun to think of him as a footman, hee!)
