Leaking got progressively worse during the night (and the spot that stopped leaking started up again), so roommate S and I called the WSSC and had them come and shut off the water. [The valve that shuts it off from inside the house is a) damaged and b) the source of one of the leaks.] As is to be expected, brain clicked over into never gonna sleep ever again mode at about 2:30a, which was when we called the WSSC, so all-nighter was a go.

And then I called my boss to see if I could not come in to work today (it's my day off, but I foolishly volunteered to cover half her shift so she could take her car to the shop), and she told me I still had to be there. So, she can take off from work because she crashed her car into something, and that trumps the fact that my apartment is flooding. Sure, that makes sense.

Bitch bitch whine moan, I'll stop now.

Oh! Also. I'm in desperate need of a beta. It's for about 1000 words of unfinished original fic. Steampunk. Due Sunday, and it needs a major stylistic overhaul before I can write the ending. Any takers?

Totally sucks about the apartment and work. :P

I would love to beta HOWEVER I have a bunch of modly things I have to get up at getyourwordsout. Can I check with you at the end of the day to see if I'm squared there and will have the time? (Though if you find someone who's actually free, take them. :P)

You got it. And even if someone else volunteers first, it's highly likely that I'll throw it at you anyway, just for a quick read. It's kind of a well-meaning disaster.

We have most of our mod posts ready (though there are like 5 to be drafted today), so I think I'll be able to carve out some time by Thursday evening at the latest.
