Today was rather surreal. It felt like a cross between a dream, a nightmare, a horror flick, and Cirque du Soleil.

Tackled Humza and Jai in the hallway and got them to explain a fyzyks topic to me in five minutes flat. We were going over formulas in the hallway during the breezeway crush. So odd.

I pulled off the English presentation without any prep. But it had this weird dream-like quality to it, like I had very little control over what I was saying. No crises, but slightly scary and most unnerving.

Shakespeare Club consisted of me diagramming A Midsummer Night's Dream on the blackboard while Amy L. summarized it; normal, yes, until you take into account that normally dead-by-Friday Melayne was dancing around and miming Amy's explanation while she wrote on the board. And the miming/acting out of Shakespeare scenes was even worse.

Doing Commedia moves with a dancer is strange. Especially when it looks like I'm getting the hang of it. *gasps*

I actually helped Alina study for the CNQ. That is surreal in and of itself.

Was talking to ex-boyfriend after school. You can't understand how strange it is to have your ex talking about hir new squeeze when s/he has the same name as you. It's like in a nightmare when people are talking to you about but don;t realize it's you.

When walking to the Metro, random guy comes up to me and starts asking me about where the Metro is. . .in Spanish. I walk him there, since that's where I was going anyway, and we start having a conversation, in snippets of English, hand gestures, and my rather crappy, but less so than I would have thought, Spanish (thanks, Sra. Solernou). And then, when we split to train for me and bus for him, he asked me for my phone number. No, I didn't give it to him.

Really, the whole day had this dream-like quality to it. Maybe I'll wake up at some point. At least then I'll know to study Stalin's real name for the CNQ.

For all of you who want to go to Canada with me to dodge Bush and the draft.
