The short, buxom Jewish girl who lives across the hall and down a room walks around in cleavage-baring shirts. A lesbian should not be tested so. (Good Lord, breasts are distracting when they're someone else's.)

In...other news, the wrist seems to be better, but that might be the Aleve talking. I'm taking it easy, though, so hopefully it will stick this time. Cross your appendages for me!

I've fallen in love with a new political cartoonist: Mikhaela Reid. Went over the archive, and these are my favorites:

And last, because I want to write, but shouldn't, for the sake of my wrist, a meme:

Five Nine of My Fic (in Three Fandoms) That I Love

Jealous of Your Cigarette: Stargate SG-1 AU fic, Jack/Daniel, NC-17; Jack, a burned-out cop, meets Daniel, a college professor, in a bar and falls hopelessly in love with a man he's certain is straight. Writing this fic was fun because I found a place for most of the main characters in my alternate universe, and the rest had places in it in my head that never manifested in the fic. Plus, I thought of Vala as waitress in diner before the Powers That Be did. *evil laugh*

Five Reasons Why They Never Got Together (1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5): Stargate SG-1, Jack/Daniel, G to PG-13; five short drabbles expanding on scenarios where Jack and Daniel didn't get together. This is the first series of Stargate fic I wrote (completed at the same time as the first [livejournal.com profile] stagesoflove set and after Snowed in But Warm, but started first and written without real prompts) and they're still my favorite drabbles, hand down. Not happy, but powerful, I think.

Provenience: Stargate SG-1, Jack/Daniel, PG-13; Jack uses archeology to get into Daniel's pants. I had way too much fun writing this. I blame it on my ANTH240 midterm and [livejournal.com profile] theemdash.

Missing: Memories of Last Night; If Found, Please Return to SB: Harry Potter, Remus/Sirius, R; Sirius wakes up in a compromising position with no recollection of how he got there. For some reason, I just really like the way this fic came together. It also shows my unhealthy obsession with Lapsang Souchong in fic.

Haunting: Harry Potter, Remus/Sirius, R; Sirius visits Remus after he's gone. This is the third drabble in the series of three I wrote to break into writing HP fic; they were also, incidentally, my first fanfic. Some early stuff one looks back at and cringes, but I really like this one, even if it is sad.

Toffee Apples and The Boy Who Loves You: Harry Potter, Remus/Sirius, both PG; the last two of the [livejournal.com profile] scarvesnhats fic, only really effective when read together. I was ambivalent about some of the stuff I knocked off for this challenge, but these two I really liked, especially the way they linked together. It wasn't on purpose.

She Blinded Me With Science: original, f/f, R; clash of the mythology and biology professors with a twist. I really, really liked writing this fic. Like, an unreasonable amount.

Danse Macabre: original, implied f/f and m/m, PG-13 (for gore); one in a planned series about an exorcist and her ex-succubus lover. I had way too much fun with this one, too, especially the research. Yes, I'm a dork. I really am going to write more, but it would help if people told me to. *hint hint*

Can't See the Sense in Crying: original, m/m, PG; bit of romantic fluff written for a five senses-centric ficathon; it has Indian food! I really like the characters in this one. I'm considering going back and doing more with them, too.

Ok, that's in, no more typing for me.
