melayneseahawk: (i hate mondays)

Interview was today, and it was pretty much to straighten out details, rather than actually interview me. It's very exciting. Basically, I'm going to be code monkey-ing for a law firm and updating and futzing with their website. We're still working out the details, but I might actually be able to work from home, rather than commute the hour plus it would take me to get there. Should have more details soon.

Also, I renewed my learner's permit. Now I get to go driving every weekend so I can just finish the damned hours and be done with it.

And then I went shopping, wherein I picked up a few nice shirts and a blazer. I also failed to succeed at underwear shopping, but that's complicated.

Ridiculous, ridiculous Monday kind of day, though. Examples:

Got to the DMV early this morning, only to find out once they opened that the paperwork I needed was different from what was listed on the website. Went home, got other paperwork, came back.

Got my number and sat down, and then the computer system for the entire State went down. It was down for about three hours. Dad and I almost had to bail so I'd make it to my interview on time, but just as we decided to give it half an hour more, the system came back up and they called my number.

Told my interviewer to recognize me by the clothing I was wearing. Ten minutes after I sat down, a woman came in who was wear exactly the same color shirt. I kind of wanted to cry.

Apparently wireless bras are in right now, because I had a bitch of a time finding a wired, lined, non-pushup bra at Macy's. Finally did, and the cups were so bizarrely shaped I didn't understand who they were supposed to fit. Went to Victoria's Secret to try on something I'd seen in the catalogue...and was informed that they don't carry 32D bras in the store. Tried on the 32C, and it was good but I was still falling out of it. Went home and ordered some online, but it was still infinitely frustrating.

And then there was a 15 minute wait at the restaurant Dad and I were going to go to, but the place was empty.

I think I'm going to go collapse now.

Did you give 34C a go? Usually the expanded chest size would make up for the shrinked cup size, like my yo-yoing between 34C and 36B. I was straining the buttons on my dress shirt so badly yesterday that I pretty much had it unbuttoned all day just to breathe. Where did these come from! Granma C, I blame you and your Italian breasts!

Yeah, I did, but the 34 is too big for me; I have to wear it on the smallest clasp in the store, and I know they're stretch some.

Playtex has those half-size bras and I am pretty sure I saw those awhile ago at Target. I keep meaning to try those myself. Oddly enough, I feel that my Vicky bras shrink! I had my 34Cs on the biggest clasp and its too tight nowadays. Well I need to lose some weight and maybe I can pass on new bras.

My issue isn't needing an in-between size, though I did when I was younger. The new bras I got are mostly cotton, so there might be a little shrinkage to start, but they should be fine.
