they're trying to drive me crazy

Am currently camped out in the computer lab at the student center because the performing arts department is trying to make my head explode. I made the mistake of dropping the theatre dude an e-mail offering to volunteer, and he asked me to run the box office for the show that's opening on Friday and runs until mid-November. Okay, fine, I used to do that in high school. But the dude doesn't seem to bother to check his e-mail, and the secretary in the department hates me. So:

I'm supposed to meet with the dude today, but he never e-mailed me back with a time.

The secretary got mad at me when I told her I'd stick around until he was free, and then called me a liar when I told her that the dude had told me to meet with him today but hadn't given me a specific appointment time.

I did managed to wheedle out of her when his class lets out, but she won't tell me what room he's in (college policy, apparently), so I'm going to back to the office when his class lets out and wait until the dude will see me. Because, yeah, okay, I'm doing them a favor, but I think it would be good for me to do something theatre-related. Maybe it'll make me hate my life less.
