Completed Cross-Stitch Picspam: Asian Butterfly Trio
Thursday, 15 April 2010 22:14These are step-by-step photos of a cross-stitch I recently had framed. It was actually a gift for Mom's birthday last year, but I was waiting for a good deal custom framing at Michaels. It's for her office, which is decorated in burgundy, gray, and blues, with Asian art. I'm also making her a second pattern, once I finish the project I'm currently working on.

This one was interesting in that it had a decorative frame printed onto the fabric.

Pretty colors.

Stitching tone-on-tone is really annoying, but it looks cool.

Something in my sweat melts sewing needles; I don't get it.

The pattern.

The real thing,

step

by

step.

The layers on this one were relatively simple.

It's like filling in a coloring book.

But with more counting.

Recognize this guy from the beginning?

Finished and freshly washed.

Detail of the finished project.

And the full image.
