Whee, I Get Things Done

Well, my Sensory Overload fic is finished, written in one shot and then edited for grammar/spelling/syntax/content by superboner with additional advising and food checking by kashmir_ki_kali. It's going to be up all hidden like in writers_island, but it goes live on 12 August, since that's how the challenge works. Mm, coriander and Indian food. . .

In other news, have been making icons out of sheer boredom, which will be popping up in the next few days. If you happen to like them, ask me and you can borrow them.

And I'm pretty sure I'm going to shoot someone, or maybe borrow a blade from Humza and go about killing people that way. And by people, I mean person. And by person, I mean no way in hell am I saying who, and s/e doesn't even know who s/he is or why, but neither of these facts will be revealed here. But "my life the teen movie" begins again. At least it isn't directly my fault this time. Ho hum.

True Story

A religion teacher assigned her class an essay on what makes a good Christian. One student wrote about praying nightly, say no to abortion, banning gay marriage, and donating money. The other student wrote about talking to God and allowing people to enjoy their lives, and supporting gay marriage.
The day the teacher was to hand the papers back, she called up the second student and told him she would pray for him when he went to hell. The student asked why would he be going to hell, and why he got an F on his paper. The teacher told him that Catholicism is against gay marriage. The student looked at her for a minute, then said aloud, "I'm gay." The teacher kicked him out of class as if he had said fuck or worshipped Satan.
A girl in the back of class who had a boyfriend and was obviously straight got up and left too.

Does that story not parallel directly the question that Mr. Hines posed to us?
The bystanders, versus resistors, and supporters of the nazi regime. We WOULD all like to say that we would stand up for our beliefs... but most of us would not.
Personally, I would leave any religious school.
