I dunno, there's parts of the premise that really skeeved me. IMHO, this idea would have made a much better movie; in a multiple episode TV show, they forget that this is supposed to be fucking creepy, whereas in a film I think that wouldn't get lost.
I agree that there were some interesting ideas (especially Alpha, I wanted to see more of him), but I'm not sure they were developed the right way. I also had some major problems with a few of the characters (Ballard, mostly, and the more we saw of November-as-Mellie, the more I wanted to scream). There was a lot of genderfail, in a way that surprised me, considering it was Whedon.
I know the 13th ep will be on the DVD, and I'm sure someone will upload it illegally. I'm sure it would be pretty easy to track down after the DVDs come out.
